Kubang Maserati Concept

The trident brand confirms its openness to the SUV segment: it does with a prototype called the Maserati Kubang and has been presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011.

Following a path laid out at the time Porsche with the Cayenne, Maserati shown in Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, a luxury SUV. And is that luxury brands that specialize in sports have it clear: If those of Stuttgart has worked for them, why not us? So comes this prototype, called Kubang, intended to make way for a production model.

Do not remember correctly, the Maserati Kubang of the same name as the prototype shown by the Italian brand in the Detroit Motor Show 2003. That prototype luxury SUV revives the phoenix in the model that is now exhibited at the Maserati stand next to Frankfurt 2011 GrandCabrio Fendi .

The DNA of the Italian brand permeates each of the elements of the Maserati Kubang, starting with what enters through the eyes, with that grille so typical of these Italian thoroughbreds. Also, the manufacturer states that trans suspensions, brakes, maneuverability and performance will be one hundred percent Maserati. Similarly, will demonstrate inherent value to the brand of sportsmanship, elegance, luxury and traditional character.

This luxury SUV also incorporate the new generation of mechanics developed by Paolo Martinelli, head of Powertrain Maserati and more than thirty years of experience behind them. These engines will be managed by the automatic transmission known eight-speed AT. The brand offers no clues about the arrival of this model, but its intention leaves no doubt: it will not take long to see your bet on the sporty SUV segment.
